Flexible plastic corrugated tubing is commonly found on medical equipment such as ventilators, respirators as well as devices for anesthesia and sleep apnea. Depending on the application, plastic medical tubing can be either disposable or re-usable.

Commonly used materials for medical applications include polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).  Medical tubing can be produced in a variety of configurations, including:

• Corrugated or smooth inner wall
• Tapered profile
• Expandable/collapsible
